Got news? DBA members are invited to share news and announcements with the Decatur community. Fill out this form, providing complete information as requested. Type or copy and paste your story into the box called "Submission Text." Your article will be reviewed for appropriateness and possible inclusion in the next DBA E-newsletter.

Submissions are accepted on a first come, first served basis, limited to 15 submissions per newsletter. Newsletters are published on the first and the third Thursdays of each month, so submissions are due by the end of business the Monday prior to distribution.

Please note that graphic files are limited to no more than 250 pixels in any dimension (width or height) and must be 72 dpi, in .JPG or .GIF format. Images that exceed these parameters cannot be accepted.

The Dynamic X-Change Healing Arts Program, which partners COREs teaching artists with other social service nonprofits, offering dance and movement to open pathways to joy for underserved populations. Fitness News from Jazzercise Decatur
To avoid weight gain, women need to work out for 60 minutes each day. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, even more exercise is needed to avoid gaining weight without eating less. The study findings are based on middle-aged women followed for about 13 years. Most were not on calorie-cutting diets.

The women gained an average of almost six pounds during the study.Those who started out at a healthy weight and who gained little or no weight during the study – consistently got the equivalent of about an hour of moderate daily activity. Timothy Martin Named Recipient of Top Advisors Under 40
Timothy H. Martin, LUTCF was named as an inaugural recipient Top Advisors Under 40 award for 2011.
