Type or copy and paste your story into the box called "Submission Text." Your article will be reviewed for appropriateness and possible inclusion in the next DBA E-newsletter.

Submissions are accepted on a first come, first served basis, limited to 15 submissions per newsletter. Newsletters are published on the first and the third Thursdays of each month, so submissions are due by the end of business the Monday prior to distribution.

Please note that graphic files are limited to no more than 250 pixels in any dimension (width or height) and must be 72 dpi, in .JPG or .GIF format. Images that exceed these parameters cannot be accepted.

Bean Back to School Bash
Join Bean Work Play Cafe, Friday, September 23 from 4pm-7pm for Bean Back to School Bash.

The event will feature Mr. V from The Learning Groove & Improv Arts. We will have an evening of dancing, eating and good ole family fun as we celebrate our kids starting back to school!

Eyeworks is pleased to announce Dr. Jamilah Birdsong as Optometric Physician. Dr. Birdsong graduated from Indiana State School of Optometry and received her undergraduate from Georgia State University.

Dr. Birdsong had been treating patients in the Decatur area for many years before accepting a role at a practice in Hirim. She has since missed the Decatur/Atlanta area and has returned.

Exams performed by Dr. Birdsong are available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurday, Friday and Saturday by appointment. Call 404-377-3937 to schedule an appointment.

Businesses to turn DecatuRED on October 22 to promote health and education for Girls Worldwide.

On Saturday, October 22 nearly 40 Decatur restaurants and retail shops will come together in support of 50 Cents. Period, a Decatur-based organization providing support for girls in developing countries & for refugee women in the Atlanta area.

50 Cents. Periods mission is to help further the education of girls in or from developing countries by providing sanitary products, facilities and health education to young women who would otherwise miss a week of school a month during menstruation for lack of funds.
