DBA's Got an "Opp" for That!
Membership Committee
Time Commitment: 1-4 hours per month
6-8 people are needed
- Visit new businesses in Decatur to welcome them and share the benefits of the DBA
- Greet members at monthly DBA member meetings and distribute name tags
- Be responsible for name tags in between meetings
- Be a new member liaison at the monthly DBA meetings
- Reliable, team player
- Ask for and gather items for the give-aways at the monthly meeting
- Attend each monthly meeting and arrive a bit early and stay until the end (5-7PM)
- Outgoing
- Loves Decatur
- Take care of member handout table

Holiday Events Committee
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per month Jan.-June, June-December, 3-4 meetings per month, 2 hours per week in between meetings.
4-5 people are needed
- Gather sponsors
- Attend and help facilitate events
- Assist Santa -- yes, there really is a Santa :-D
- Participate day of event with setup and/or take down
- Help create and put up decorations

Concerts on the Square Committee
Time Commitment: 2 hours per month
3-4 people are needed
- Attend listening party at beginning of year to choose artists for the concerts series
- Help pick up the stage give-aways from our generous Decatur businesses
- Assist at the DBA table for a couple of Wednesday afternoon and /or Saturday evening concerts in May and September
- Team player
- Reliable
- Help to enroll annual sponsors for the events
- Outgoing and is comfortable with public speaking
- Loves Decatur
This is a fun way to give back to the DBA while bringing great music to the community.

Communications Committee
Time Commitment: 1 hour per week
1-2 people are needed
- Social networking savvy
- Organized
- Good writing skills
- Reliable
- Team player
- Creative, willing to share and hear new ideas
- Good communicator
- Loves Decatur
- Excited about creating connections
- Blogging experience or deep desire to learn
- Willing to spend an hour a week updating social media sites including Facebook and LinkedIn

Beach Party Committee
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per month, Jan.-March, April-May, 3-4 meetings per month, 2-3 hours per week in between meetings.

- Head up children's area
- Gate captain
- Help with food and beverage
- Reliable
- Entertainment committee
- Participate day of event with setup and/or take down
- Help create and put up decorations
