Submissions are accepted on a first come, first served basis, limited to 15 submissions per newsletter. Newsletters are published on the first and the third Thursdays of each month, so submissions are due by the end of business the Monday prior to distribution.

Please note that graphic files are limited to no more than 250 pixels in any dimension (width or height) and must be 72 dpi, in .JPG or .GIF format. Images that exceed these parameters cannot be accepted.

Decatur Housing Authority's Star After-School program is hosting a Community Yard Sale.

This is a community event and we welcome all City of Decatur residents to come out, enjoy, sale and bargain. We are also asking all agencies to make a donation to sponsor a table. This event serves as a fundraiser to help send our teens on their annual spring break college tour. Free Lecture by Palestinian Peacemaker at FBCD
The Georgia Center for the Book and First Baptist Decatur will sponsor a lecture by Dr. Izzeldin Abeulaish, author of 'I Shall Not Hate: A Gaza Doctor's Journey on the Road to Peace and Human Dignity' on February 17 at 7:00 pm.

Dr. Abeulaish is a Harvard-trained Palestinian physician who has devoted himself to medicine and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians, crossing the lines in the sand that divide the two groups for most of his life. He continues his dedication to reconciliation despite the loss of his daughters in the recent conflicts in Gaza.

The Corner Pub and Jazzercise Decatur for the Cure
Come to The Corner Pub at East Decatur Station on Thursday, February 10, where, from 5-10pm, a portion of all sales will go directly to Atlanta's affiliate of Komen For the Cure.

In partnership with Jazzercise Dectaur, The Corner Pub is helping raise money for local screening, treatment and education programs in the field of breast cancer. This fundraiser is one of many Jazzercise Decatur is co-hosting to support the 9th annual Jazzerthon for the Cure.

Over the past 8 years, Jazzerthon for the Cure has raised close to $200,000 each year for Komen. You can help on February 10 just by dining at The Corner Pub. See you there!
