Got news? DBA members are invited to share news and announcements with the Decatur community. Fill out this form, providing complete information as requested. Type or copy and paste your story into the box called "Submission Text." Your article will be reviewed for appropriateness and possible inclusion in the next DBA E-newsletter.

Submissions are accepted on a first come, first served basis, limited to 15 submissions per newsletter. Newsletters are published on the first and the third Thursdays of each month, so submissions are due by the end of business the Monday prior to distribution.

Please note that graphic files are limited to no more than 250 pixels in any dimension (width or height) and must be 72 dpi, in .JPG or .GIF format. Images that exceed these parameters cannot be accepted.

Dany Nieves Featured in Katwalk Magazine
307 Idea Factory is proud to announce that they are featured as the cover article on KatWalkPlanet Magazine for the work done over the past few years in Decatur. As a visual artist, Dany Nieves has photographed many talented people in the Decatur area. When he first started, most of the clients were beginning their careers and his images helped them gain attention and fans. Small Business Power Hour hosted by Bean Work Play Cafe

SkaterAid 2011 Skate & Music Festival
The 7th Annual SkaterAid 2011 Skate & Music Festival will be held on Sunday, September 25 from 2pm-7pm at East Decatur Station to raise funds for the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children and honor the life of Ian Wochatz.

This is the first call for volunteers. Volunteers needed to help out in many areas. We have an early shift (2pm-4:30pm) & a late shift (4:30pm-7pm), but also some earlier & later times for set-up & breakdown. Please contact Cathy Keeler at ckeeler@emory.edu for a volunteer shift.

Waldorf School of Atlanta Announces New Administrator
The Waldorf School of Atlanta would like to announce the arrival of our new school administrator, Sara Walsh and the continuing leadership of Randy Evans as faculty chair.

Sara comes to us from the Waldorf School of Garden City in Garden City, New York. She has over 15 years of Waldorf administrative experience, including being a former administrator of the Santa Cruz Waldorf School in Santa Cruz, CA. Committed to Anthroposophy and Waldorf Education for over 30 years, her expertise in organizational development, business administration, adult education and collaborative leadership is extensive.
